| Monte Koch - PGA Director of Golf
Monte Koch joined the Chardonnay Golf Club's management team in May of 2006 as Head Golf Professional. A nineteen year veteran in the golf industry, Monte has served in a variety of facilities including private, semi-private and daily fee facilities. Some highlights include Thunder Canyon Country Club (Carson City, NV), Saddle Creek Golf Club (Copperopolis, CA) and Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Park (Napa, CA.) During his career, Koch has been a Head Golf Professional and a General Manager of both a single facility and multiple facilities, including 3 separate properties in Stockton, CA.
A graduate of the PGA of America’s prestigious Professional Golf Management Degree Program at the New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM, Monte is a PGA Class A Golf Professional.
Koch has been and remains very active in the leadership of the Northern California PGA Section. After two years as the Vice President/Treasurer for the NCPGA, Monte was elected in December 2009 as the Section's President for a two year term. As President, Koch serves as a member of every Section committee. Monte is also a Director for the NCPGA Foundation, a 501c-3 non-profit focused on raising funds/awareness for junior golf programs and others, including "Saving Strokes," a program designed to use golf to aid "stroke victors" regain activity levels and independence. While in Napa, Monte received a grant from the PGA Foundation for the Napa Junior Golf Academy. Koch is Chardonnay's leader is player development and has begun a marked focus on golf performance; a focused blend of golf fitness and quality golf instruction. Regarding this topic, Koch says, "Golf Performance is the key to true game improvement... as a golf professional, it is very rewarding to help golfer's live better as well as play better."
Monte presently resides in Suisun City, CA with his wife, Karen, and four beautiful children, Mitchell, Mason, Madeline and Miller.
